Empowering Communities

Empowering Communities is giving local people the power and know-how to get new projects up and running in the area.

If you live in the Transform area and have an idea for a project, or your community organisation is struggling for funds – Empowering Communities may be able to help.

The team has a range of skills and expertise to make things happen, with:

• a Community Enterprise Worker
• a Financial Inclusion Worker and
• a Community Development Worker.

The project brings £500,000 of new funding into the area, with contributions from Objective 2 ERDF, Devon Renaissance, Transform and North Devon Homes. The bid was written by the North Devon and Exmoor Regeneration Company, who will also manage the project, with support from Gary Smith.
